Using WindowsDNSServer to speed up a single PC DNS Results

In this FAQ we will answer how to user WindowsDNSServer to speed up and cache DNS results.

First of all complete the install for WindowsDNSServer. Info on WTSSoftware Installs Here

Change your DNS settings for your Internet Connection Network Adaptor to 127.0.0.1 and .2. To do this right click on the network icon in your systray that represents your internet connection or go to Start/Control Panel/Network Connections select TCP IP settings for the network adaptor that handles your internet connection and change your DNS servers to 127.0.0.1 and 127.0.0.2

If setting your DNS IP's gets tiresome, try our free application AdaptorConfig.exe you can download it at AdaptorConfig.com

In the DNS Query Cache, you should now see queries from 127.0.0.1 and or .2 this is the PC using the WindowsDNSServer to resolve querys.
